As it did last year, the city of Sylvania will offer curbside Christmas tree pickups to residents.

City Service Director Kevin Aller said residents can set out holiday trees as is, no bag necessary, and place them curbside, off the street.

The curbside pick will begin Thursday with city crews traveling throughout the city that day and on Friday. On Jan. 6 the crews will perform the last round of Christmas tree pickups in the area.

If residents have Christmas trees to be picked up after Jan. 6, Mr. Aller said they can dispose of them through the normal yard waste program, which is scheduled by street. For the Green Yard Waste Curbside Pick-Up schedule visit cityofsylvania.com, go to Refuse & Recycling, and click on “Green/yard waste.”
