Valerie Taylor fund-raiser

A fund-raiser for Valerie Taylor aided a renovation project that will make her home more accessible. The event took place at Christine's Hair Designers in Sylvania, on Sunday, Sept. 23, 2012.

Christine's was doing haircuts for donations to the family while the ice cream store was donating 20 percent of its proceeds during the Cut-A-Thon to the Taylor family, who's home is being renovated to make it accessible for Valerie. Valerie has Cerebral Palsy. With the help of Southview students, the Professional Remodelers Association is working on the home. Tom Taylor, Valerie's father, said the community support has been tremendous, though they are still looking for a plumber to help with the renovation.
