Taylor Family Groundbreaking Ceremony
Southview High School rallied around Valerie, 17, to help raise $32,000 toward the more than $150,000 it will take to rebuild her home with appropriate facilities, including two bedrooms and two bathroom. Currently Valerie, her mother Veronica and her father Tom live in a one bedroom, one bathroom, 540 square foot home. With the help of Professional Remodelers Organization's annual President's Project Dance for a Chance's Project HAVEN, in an estimated five weeks, the Taylor family's home will have expanded to about 1,500 square feet. Valerie has been diagnosed with multiple conditions including Spastic Quadriplegia Cerebral Palsy.
