Description: International journalist and author Lisa Barr, writer of the award-winning, historical-fiction thriller "Fugitive Colors" (Arcade Publishing) will be speaking at the Jewish Federation of Greater Toledo on Wednesday, November 5, 2014 at 7 pm. Stolen Art, Love, Lust, Deception, and Revenge paint the pages of Lisa Barr’s debut novel, Fugitive Colors. Booklist calls the WWII era novel, "Masterfully conceived and crafted, Barr’s dazzling debut novel has it all: passion and jealousy, intrigue and danger."

Fugitive Colors recently won the IPPY (Independent Publishers Book Award) gold medal for "Best Literary Fiction 2014", has been optioned for movie development by Hollywood producer Arthur Sarkissian, and won first prize at the Hollywood Film Festival (Opus Magnum Discovery Award). It was also featured in this month's “Best Books” of the year by Heeb Magazine.

Description: A Professor of Psychology, Annette Mahoney directs Bowling Green State's Spirituality and Psychology Research Team, which focuses on the roles that religion and spirituality play for individuals and families. The research team at BGSU is nationally recognized as leading this field of psychology.

Her Saturday lecture “The Spirituality of Us: Studies on the Psychology of Relational Spirituality” ($15 ticket) will be from 4-5:30 p.m. including 30 minutes of Q&A. It will be a summary of what social scientists have uncovered about the roles religion/spirituality may play for couples and parents, along with spiritual resources that appear to help couples and parents strengthen their family bonds. Topics of spiritual intimacy and the sanctification of marriage, pregnancy and parenting will be included.

Her Sunday talk will be a free experiential workshop at 9:20 a.m. You will have the opportunity to do interactive exercises and discuss possible ways to increase the sanctity of marriage or parenting, and/or increase spiritual intimacy.

Tickets for Saturday can be purchased at the door, and childcare will be available both days. All are welcome to worship on Sunday at 8:30 or 10:40 a.m.
