Toledo Walleye sign Sylvania native Pilmore, release former BGSU goalie

Tyler Pilmore, a Northview High School graduate and a former member of the Toledo Cherokee junior hockey team was signed off the waiver wire today by the Toledo Walleye.

The 24-year-old Pilmore, a forward who also played club hockey at Ohio University, played six games this season for Wheeling, registering two penalty minutes and a minus-4 rating.

A Sylvania native, Pilmore is listed at 6-foot, 180 pounds.

Also today, the Walleye released goaltender Jimmy Spratt. The former Bowling Green State University goaltender (2005-09) — who won 27 games in four seasons for the Falcons — played in one game this season for Toledo, a 3-2 overtime loss to Kalamazoo.
