Sylvania police arrest driver after chase


Sylvania police stopped and arrested the driver of a suspected stolen car involved in an interstate pursuit TODAY.

According to a statement, police attempted to stop the car when it entered Ohio on southbound U.S. 23 from Michigan, but the driver fled. The car traveled through several other Toledo-area communities before returning to Sylvania, where a second attempt at stopping it was successful.

The driver, who was not named in the report, was charged with receiving stolen property and failure to obey an officer's signal and was to be booked into the Lucas County jail.
