after red-light crash

TIFFIN — A Tiffin woman died after a two-vehicle crash Tuesday in Tiffin.

Tiffin police said Audra DeMoss, 78, died at a Toledo hospital, where she was taken following the 3 p.m. crash at Nelson and Miami streets.

Officer Steve Niedermier said Ms. DeMoss was taken to a Toledo hospital but did not know which one.

The collision occurred when Spencer Miller, 19, of Bloomville was driving east on Miami and ran a red light at Nelson, Officer Niedermier said. The truck he was driving hit the passenger’s side of a vehicle driven by John DeMoss, 81. He was treated and released for injuries. Ms. DeMoss was a passenger in Mr. DeMoss’ vehicle.

Mr. Miller, who was not hurt, was cited for running the red light.
