The Sylvania community is invited to visit the annual Sylvania Elementary Student Art Show at the Heritage Museum, which is part of the Sylvania Historical Village.

The exhibit opened last week and runs through the end of March.

The walls, display cases, shelves, even curtains are used to exhibit more than 600 projects created by Sylvania elementary students. The art teacher in each school selects an entire grade level or several classes and creates an exhibit of their work.

During the exhibition, the Historical Village hosts an evening reception for the artists and their families from each school on Wednesdays during February and March.

This year’s reception schedule is:

  • Feb. 12 Central Trail
  • Feb. 19 Highland
  • Feb. 26 Whiteford
  • Mar. 5 Hillview
  • Mar. 12 Maplewood
  • Mar. 19 Sylvan

The Heritage Museum is at 5717 N. Main St. in Sylvania. The museum is open on Wednesdays 3 to 7 p.m. and on Saturdays and Sundays, 1 to 4 p.m.
