Southview to host blood drive, fund-raiser

SYLVANIA SCHOOLS

The Sylvania Southview marching band and choir are hosting fund-raisers in community in the coming weeks.

The Southview band will be hosting a “Bleed for the Band” blood drive at the high school on Monday, Aug. 19 from noon to 6:00 pm. To schedule an appointment, visit redcrossblood.org and enter Southviewband or call 419-824-8740.

The choir will be offering items as a fund-raiser to help provide for student performance supplies and choral activities including transportation. The project will continue for about three weeks. Households will be receiving a phone call from 4 to 9 p.m., Monday through Thursday asking for assistance.

People will be offered a choice of four varieties of pizza, gourmet coffee samplers, chocolate chunk cookie dough, roasted mixed nuts, and durable environmentally-friendly kitchen size 13-gallon and laundry-size, 33-gallon trash bags. All products will be delivered to buyers' homes for free.
