Walk to defeat ALS set for Oct. 7 at Flower Hospital

PROMEDICA FLOWER HOSPITAL

The 9th annual Walk to Defeat ALS, dubbed "We walk because we can," is set for Sunday, Oct. 7 at ProMedica Flower Hospital in Sylvania.

Registration starts at 11:30 a.m. and the walk starts at 1 p.m. The hospital is at 5200 Harroun Rd. There is no registration fee, but donations are welcomed.

The path is wheelchair accessible and there are two miles of paved paths at the hospital.

Patients and family members are welcome to attend. Clowns, face painting, refreshments and fun activities will precede the event. A Choice Auction with merchandise and services will follow the walk.

Donations will help fund programs and services such as consults, home visits, and equipment loans.

The ALS Chapter office located in Cleveland, provides services to many northern Ohio counties including Lucas, Wood, Erie, Sandusky, Seneca and Huron.
