Chamber presents check to Lourdes for scholarship program

Pat Nowak, executive director of the Sylvania Chamber of Commerce, presented a check to Lourdes University's Vice President for Institutional Advancement Mary Arquette for a newly endowed scholarship, named in honor of local artist Walter Chapman.

The Walter H. Chapman Scholarship for Study Abroad at Lourdes uses funds raised during Mr. Chapman’s 100th birthday gala.

Some of Mr. Chapman's artwork was auctioned off raising approximately $12,000 for the start of this scholarship.
