On Thursday, Feb. 16, Lourdes University student Tim Berta will give a presentation titled “Seasons,” recounting the traumatic Bluffton University bus accident which left him with a severe brain injury and his consequent fight to regain his health.

The presentation is being held in the Franciscan Center at 8 p.m.

Tim initially crafted “Seasons” for the Brain Injury Association of Ohio and has also presented it at the Ohio Speech-Language-Hearing Association (OSLHA) conference and at Ohio University.

“The aim of ‘Seasons’ is to show others that you cannot judge a traumatic brain injury patient or a person by one moment (or season) of their life,” expresses Tim.

Tim has presented ‘Seasons’ at several churches in the area and a few members of the Lourdes community (after hearing it) asked if he could give it here on campus as well,” shares Rebecca Tobias, Director of Student Activities & Orientation.

“I thought it was a great idea and would be a very inspiring event for the our community!” Tim is currently working toward his Master of Organizational Leadership degree at Lourdes and serves as Assistant Baseball Coach.

The Gray Wolves inaugural baseball season is set to begin February 24 in Georgetown, Kentucky. Free and open to the public. For more information, contact Rebecca Tobias at 419-517-8946 or email rtobias@lourdes.edu.
