Pacesetter soccer team reaches Fla. event semis

The Pacesetter Super 20 soccer team won twice to advance to the semifinals of a national tournament in Bradenton, Fla.

The Sylvania-based team posted two shutouts to reach the semifinals of the the Super-20 League national championships today.

The Pacesetter team of elite players ages 17-20 beat a team from New Jersey 1-0 on Thursday, then blanked a Texas-based club 2-0.

The Pacesetter Super 20 team next faces a team from St. Louis at 3 p.m. today.
