Jessing's jumper with 3 seconds left lifts Northview girls to 34-33 win
BOYS
Southview 64, Maumee 55
Matt Morrison hit six 3-pointers on his way to 30 points for the visiting Cougars (4-11, 2-7).
Nate Hall added 14 points and Jeremiah Roberts had 12.
A 17-5 third-quarter advantage for Southview proved to be the difference in the game.
Jason Wanamaker scored 24 points, including six 3-pointers, for Maumee (10-5, 4-5), while Sean McGovern added 13 points.
Anthony Wayne 66, Northview 47
The visiting Generals (12-2, 8-1) were led by matching 21-point outputs from Matt Fox and Mark Donnal as they built a 39-27 lead at the break.
Connor Hartnett led the Wildcats (7-8, 3-6) with 18 in the loss.
GIRLS
Northview 34, Anthony Wayne 33
Kendall Jessing's jump shot with three seconds left gave the host Wildcats a victory Friday night in Northern Lakes League girls basketball.
Abby Allen of Anthony Wayne (11-5, 7-4 NLL) put the Generals in the lead with 48 seconds remaining. Allen, Jasmine Bonivel, and Megan Bedard each finished with 10 points.
Kendall McCoy led the Wildcats (8-7, 7-4) with 11 points as Northview built a 19-11 lead, including shutting out the Generals in the second quarter.
Southview 66,Maumee 36
Emily Westphal led Southview with 21 points in a road win.
Southview trailed 18-10 after one quarter, but bounced back with a 22-6 second quarter advantage and never looked back.
Sarah Klepzig added 16 points and Natalie Harlan scored 11 for the Cougars (12-5, 9-2).
Evyn Kachenmeister paced Maumee (0-15, 0-11) with 11 points.
