Northview falls to Perrysburg in basketball opener

Sarah Baer had 13 points and Allex Brown scored 12 as the Yellow Jackets won their season opener.

Maddie Cole scored eight for the Wildcats in their first game of the season.

Southview 57, Springfield 52

At Springfield, the Cougars outscored the Blue Devils 9-4 in the overtime session. Bailey Hejl led the way with 17 points while Sarah Kelpzig added 11 and Lauren Huntsman 10 for Southview.

Sydney Powhida’s 17 points paced Springfield while Natalie Yoder contributed 16.
