Northview falls to Springfield 35-14

Springfield 35, Northview 14

Elijah Todd's 315 yards and four touchdowns helped Blue Devils' win their first game, both overall and in Northern Lakes League play, on Friday night in Sylvania.

The junior finished with 38 carries, but his biggest run came early in the third quarter, when his 67-yard scoring scamper put Springfield (1-5, 1-2 NLL) up 28-0. Todd's other four scores came on five-yard runs as the Blue Devils pulled away.

Charles Smith provided the other Springfield touchdown in the second quarter with a 10-yard run.

Kyle Kremchek led Northview (3-3, 1-2) through the air, completing 34 of 54 passes for 367 yards, two touchdowns, and three interceptions. His favorite target was Mark Bernsdorff, who caught 12 passes for 197 yards, which included a 14-yard score. Conner Zipfel added a 7-yard touchdown catch.
