Class reunions abound for Sylvania high schools

The Sylvania School District is hosting several class reunions in the next six months, with the first for the class of 1983 next weekend.

The Class of 1983's 30-year reunion for graduates of Northview and Southveiw high schools is scheduled for Friday through Sunday at Centennial Terrace, 5773 Centennial Rd., and the Loft at Tam-O-Shanter, 7060 Sylvania Ave. For more information, Northview graduates may call 419-343-5056, while Southview graduates should email Robin Miller Isenberg at mice2mom@buckeye-express.com.

A 20-year reunion for the Northview Class of 1993 is scheduled for Aug. 10 at Treo Restaurant, 5703 Main St. Contact Carrie Shondell Collins at 419-343-1741.

The Southview Class of 1993 reunion will begin at 7 p.m. Aug. 30 at Maumee Bay State Park, 1400 State Park Rd., Oregon. An event still to be determined will be held Aug. 31. For more information, contact Brad Reinhart at bradreinhart@mac.com or visit www.facebook.com/groups/11924914276.

Sylvania High School’s Class of 1963 will host a 50-year reunion at the Homecoming football game to be played Oct. 11 at the stadium next to Northview, starting at 7 p.m. The reunion will continue Oct. 12 with a golf outing and dinner at Sylvania Country Club, 5201 Corey Rd. Sylvania High School's Class of 1973's 40-year reunion also will begin at the Homecoming game, starting with a 5:30 p.m. tailgate party. An all-day golf outing is scheduled Oct. 12 at Highland Meadows Golf Club, 7455 Erie St., ending with dinner and dancing, while a picnic is planned for Oct. 13 at Secor Metropark, 10001 W.
