Sylvania students compete in hair, nail competitions

The Sylvania Schools cosmetology department held its annual hairstyling and nail art competition this month.

The junior year students participated in a competition involving a finished style and nail art. The senior students completed a color, cut and finished style and nail art as part of a timed trial.

Winners of the seniors hair competition were Northview students Alli Whitmore, first place; Sydney Gauer, second place; and Southview's Brittani Smith, third place. Winners of the seniors nail competition were Northview students Danielle Moody, first place; Marissa Agustyniak, second place; and Southview's Brittani Smith, third place.
