Whiteford Elementary collects items for Goodwill

Whiteford Elementary students will collect items on Friday for donation to Goodwill on Saturday.

It is the second year the Sylvania school has partnered with Goodwill. It is done in conjunction with the Whiteford PTO.

Last year’s donation drive resulted in collecting nearly 3,000 pounds of material.

The classroom with the most number of bags collected will receive a pizza party on behalf of Goodwill. The school will receive a recognition plaque its participation.

On Saturday, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., Goodwill will have a vehicle parked in front of the school for larger donations, such as computers, household materials, furniture and clothing.
