House checks available for residents on vacation

BLADE STAFF

Sylvania Township police are reminding residents about the department’s free Continuous House Check program, available to residents taking vacations.

As a security measure, police suggest residents notify them if they are going to be away from home for any extended period of time. Within each 24-hour period, an officer will walk around the house.

Police ask that they are made aware of anyone coming over to feed an animal or take care of plants. For more information, visit sylvaniatownship.com or call the township police at 419-882-2055.
