Here are the crimes reported to Sylvania and Sylvania Township police departments in the past week. Sylvania Township Fire Department runs also are listed.
Forgery/theft. Robert Lubbell, 5100 block of Harroun Road, reported an intern of his took several checks from his checkbook without his knowledge. The total of checks cashed is $5,778.04.
Telecommunication fraud. Marco's Pizza, 6461 Monroe Street, reported an unknown person made numerous orders through the Marco's Pizza Web site but the orders were determined, upon delivery, to be false. The same IP address had been used each time.
Theft. William Tucker, 7060 block of Sylvania Avenue, reported someone stole a Bauer hockey stick from the locker room of the Tam-O-Shanter sports complex.
Theft. Judith Braatz, 5200 Harroun Road, reported black Eastport purse and $16 in cash were stolen while she was in Flower Hospital.
Sylvania Township Police Department
Theft. American Income Life, 7590 Kings Pointe Road, reported an employee heard that a former employee told other people that he broke into the American Income Life office and obtained online files of client information. It was found that online files were accessed on Jan. 28. Several files and applications are missing from a file cabinet at the business.
Theft. Radio Shack, 5844 W. Central Ave., reported a suspect stole $14 in cash, credit cards, and a wallet from the break room of the store.
Attempted theft. War Zone Paint Games, 5340 Centennial Road, reported a man loaded scrap metal from the property into his vehicle. When confronted, he said, "I should've asked first," and then unloaded the scrap metal and left.
Burglary. Charles Seddon, 2401 Logwood Ct., reported these items stolen from his home: a silver Pandora bracelet with six charms and a 1/2 karat diamond ring.
Stolen vehicle. Grogan's Towne, 6064 W. Central Ave., reported that a 2007 Jeep Grand Cherokee was stolen from the lot.
