Sylvania police are hoping someone can help them locate a robbery suspect who is also wanted in Toledo for an alleged armed robbery.

Travis L. Welch, 30, of 24 E. Manhattan Blvd., is accused of holding up a KFC restaurant, 5649 West Alexis Rd., on Dec. 22. Sylvania police say he threatened a manager with a handgun, assaulted him, and robbed him of cash from a safe. They issued a warrant charging him with aggravated robbery.

Toledo police consider the alleged assailant a suspect in a robbery in North Toledo on Sunday when they say he robbed a 60-year-old woman at gunpoint.

Police say the victim was giving him a ride home from his girlfriend's residence after the couple had a "heated argument" there and he was locked out. As the victim drove through the 3300 block of Franklin Avenue, he allegedly pulled a gun on her, robbed her of $50, pulled the key from the ignition, and fled, according to a police report.

In that case, a warrant was issued on a charge of aggravated robbery with a deadly weapon.

The suspect is considered armed and dangerous. Anyone with information on his whereabouts is asked to contact the the U.S. Marshals Northern Ohio Violent Fugitive Task Force at 866-4WANTED or 866-492-6833.
