Sylvania shooting appears self-inflicted

Sylvania police said today that the shooting reported in the city Wednesday night appears to be self-inflicted.

Police were called to a home in the 5100 block of Allen Street at 5:19 p.m. for a man who reportedly shot himself.

The man's condition is unknown.

Police Chief William Rhodus said the investigation is ongoing.
