Sylvania area crime log, fire runs 10/17

BLADE STAFF

Here are the crimes reported to Sylvania and Sylvania Township police departments in the past week. Sylvania Township Fire Department runs also are listed.

Sylvania Police

Oct. 9

Breaking and entering. Thomas Eyre, 6600 block of Maplewood Ave., reported items missing from his storage unit: a Coca-Cola popcorn machine, two bottles of Tide liquid laundry soap, one bottle of bleach and one bottle of liquid fabric softener.

Oct. 10

Burglary. Betty Lumbattis, 7300 block of Caracole Court, reported that someone tried to break into her home. The front door and door frame, as well as a glass sliding screen door, were damaged.

Oct. 12

Theft. In & Out Mart, 5566 W. Alexis Road, reported a credit card that had been reported lost was used to pay for gasoline at the station. The suspect left with 16.561 gallons of gasoline.

Oct. 15

Burglary. Sean Keane, 6600 block of Maplewood Ave., reported the following items as stolen from his storage unit: a white and black Epiphone electric guitar, one George Foreman outdoor grill, and one set of purple and white Christmas ornaments.

Oct. 9

Theft. Diana Chatman, 4700 block of Brookhurst, reported fraud on her Fifth Third Bank account.

Oct. 10

Criminal damage. Kathleen Pinkert, 6700 block of Central Ave., said her vehicle was hit by a red Dodge Ram that pulled into the parking space next to her. The driver of the truck apologized, but then became argumentative when she asked him for his information. He refused to give any information.

Burglary. Sharon Lamb, 3300 block of Waldmar Dr., reported the front door of her home was broken into and the following items were stolen: a desktop computer and monitor and a cup of old pennies.

Oct. 11

Aggravated robbery. Quinton Green, 3300 block of Wilford Road, reported that he and a friend gave an unknown person transportation to a Toledo address. As they approached the address, a man took out a semi-automatic handgun and demanded Mr. Green and his friend's money.

Oct. 10

4200 block of Holland-Sylvania Road, unintentional transmission issue.

McCord Road & Bancroft Street, power line down.

4800 block of Parkgate Place, cooking fire.

Oct. 11

5900 block of Greenacre Road, CO detector activation.

Oct. 12

7400 block of Sylvania Avenue, outside rubbish, trash or waste issue.

3400 block of Meijer Drive, system malfunction.

3700 block of Sylvan Wood Drive, outside equipment fire.

6600 block of Convent Boulevard, assist invalid.

5200 block of South Main Street, service call.

Oct. 13

6600 block of Convent Boulevard, good intent call.

8700 block of Oak Hollow Road, dispatched and canceled en route.

4800 block of Parkgate Place, alarm system sounded.

Oct. 14

5700 block of Whiteford Road, cooking fire.

4700 block of Corey Road, power line down.

5700 block of Olde Post Road, assist invalid.

6500 block of Cornwall Court, power line down.

3800 block of Sylvan Wood Drive, electrical wiring/equipment issue.

Oct. 15

3300 block of Plainview Drive, assist invalid.
