Sylvania area crime log, fire runs 10/3

BLADE STAFF

Here are the crimes reported to Sylvania and Sylvania Township police departments in the past week. Sylvania Township Fire Department runs also are listed.

Sylvania Police

Sept. 26

Theft. Martha Quinn, 6500 block of Cornwall Court, reported that a black handbag, checks from her bank account, a debit card, and a food stamp card were stolen from her residence.

Theft. Branden Wright, 5000 block of Jamieson, reported that his debit card was stolen.

Sept. 27

Taking identity of another. Jeannette Sullivan, 6700 block of Roosevelt Drive, reported that someone has been using her juvenile son's social security number to claim food stamps.

Sept. 28

Theft. Sara Lenga, 4800 block of Wickford Green, reported that an Apple iPod touch and an Apple USB charger were stolen from her residence.

Breaking and entering. Michael Miles, 5600 block of Balfour, reported several items were stolen from his garage, including a 1955 Johnson outboard motor and a Stihl weed wacker.

Sept. 29

Theft. Teresa Roehrig, 2800 block of Elmwood, reported that she moved residences and found that a television set was missing.

Sept. 30

Theft. Danielle Scott, 5600 block of Cushman, reported someone used her debit card to withdraw $200 from an ATM.

Oct. 1

Theft. Leslie Joseph, 5800 block of Sugar Hill Court, reported that her debit card was stolen.

Sylvania Township Police

Sept. 25

Robbery. Marian Diener, 5100 block of Monroe Street, told officers that she was robbed of her purse outside of the Bed, Bath and Beyond store on Monroe Street. She reported that she got out of her car and a suspect knocked her down and took her purse. The suspect fled in a black GMC Envoy or Dodge Durango, with Ohio license plates.

Sept. 26

Breaking and entering. Donna Nelson, 2600 block of North Crissey Road, reported that batteries, a tool box, and several antique tool items were stolen from the barn she owns.

Theft. U-Haul, 2701 N. Reynolds Rd., reported gasoline was stolen from two rental trucks overnight. The business also reported that this is the third incident in two weeks that gas has been stolen from its trucks.

Sept. 29

Theft. Protective Coating Technology, 2830 N. Holland-Sylvania Rd., an unknown suspect stole a trailer from the business. The trailer was equipped with power-washing equipment.

Oct. 1

Theft. Jessica Hernandez, 5200 block of Monroe Street, reported that her cell phone was stolen from her jacket pocket while she was working out.

3300 block of Percentum Road, assist invalid.

Sept. 26

5800 block of Central Park West, assist invalid.

Sept. 27

5700 block of Bonsels Parkway, good intent call/other.

Sept. 28

8100 block of Sunset Lane, assist invalid.

3300 block of Percentum Road, assist invalid.
