Police seek assistance in shooting on June 21
Dying man's 911 call gets released
Sylvania Township police are hoping that an audio recording of Darryl Stipes calling 911 after being shot multiple times will prompt new tips.
The recording, released Thursday, is shorter than 2 minutes long, but Mr. Stipes, who was shot about 10:20 p.m. on June 21 and then died hours later at Toledo Hospital, can be heard telling a dispatcher he'd been shot multiple times.
"I'm dying," the 60-year-old man can be heard saying.
