Scenes to be shot in Sylvania Sunday for the movie 'The Society'

Filming is to occur Sunday morning in downtown Sylvania for a movie being produced by a Sylvania man.

The film, The Society, is to shoot scenes in the city, although the movie by Mantis and Moon Motion Pictures and Sound will not be set in Sylvania.

Filming is to begin at 9 a.m. Sunday, according to the Sylvania Area Chamber of Commerce. The Sylvania Police Department will assist the filming crew.

The movie, produced by Cap Averill II, is set is Bogata, Columbia, where much of the filming has been completed.

Production of the movie began in 2006.

Zach Gordon, from Austin, Texas is director of photography.
