Meet children’s librarian Heidi Yeager

Heidi Yeager has been a children’s librarian with the Toledo-Lucas County Public Library since 2000.

She was born and raised in Sylvania, Ohio. Heidi is right at home at the Sylvania Branch, where she has worked since 2009.

Heidi has developed many creative library programs. One example is the very popular “Young Artist’s Club.” Children in grades kindergarten through 5th grade participate in a variety of mediums, including drawing, ceramics, and painting, printmaking, and computer art. She has a loyal following of children.

Heidi has an artistic background. In addition to her Master of Library Science Degree, Heidi possesses a Bachelor of Fine Arts Degree. She also worked in the library at the Toledo Museum of Art from 2000 – 2003.

Heidi’s hobbies and interests include scuba diving, travel, riding horses, and of course reading.
