September is library card sign-up month

What is the most important card that children, teens and adults should have? Why, a library card of course.

Why are library cards more valuable than credit cards? Because they’re free.

If you don’t have one, now is the perfect time to go to the Sylvania Branch Library and get one.

Here are a few of the many advantages to having and using a library card:

•A great selection of books, books on CD, playaways, magazines, DVDs, and music CDs that can be borrowed and enjoyed at home. Many research databases that are available through the Toledo-Lucas County Public Library Web site homepage.

•Access to digital and audio books that download into your PC, Kindle, Nook, iPad and others. The book titles are removed automatically after the lending period, so you never have to worry about late fees.

•Public Internet computers, with one-on-one basic Internet instruction.

These are just a few of the many advantages of having a library card. If you don’t have a library card, get one right away and start enjoying all of the wonderful and free services that the library has to offer.
