Magic, literature elixir entertains at Sylvania library

BLADE STAFF

Child entertainer and magician Jim Kleefeld brought literature to life during a theatrical performance just for children at the Sylvania branch library on Saturday.

More than 25 children gathered in the library’s meeting room for an hour of entertainment and a magical program presented by Mr. Kleefeld.

The performance, "A Fox and Socks and Sneetches, Too!" combined characters from Dr. Seuss’s books with magic tricks, props, and child participation to create a family themed presentation.

Mr. Kleefeld, who also has a background in elementary teaching, has performed for years at public libraries and school assemblies throughout Ohio. He is a frequent guest in the Toledo-Lucas County Public Library system.
