Owned by the Sylvania Recreation Corp., which is organized by the Sylvania Area Joint Recreation District, the facility is maintained year round. Both local high schools, including Northview and Southview, use the rink for hockey games. The ice is maintained every hour.

Prices for open skating are $3 for adult residents or $4 for adult non-residents; children under 3 are free and seniors 60 and older are $1. The cost to rent skates is $2.
