Children's Wonderland , open skating top weekend's events
The weekend between Christmas and New Year's has just a few events in store for the Sylvania community.
Here’s what’s going on:
FRIDAY
As a tradition since 1963, Children's Wonderland, featuring an interactive zone, coloring, letters to Santa and much more, will still be at Tam-O-Shanter through today. The last day of the event includes classic exhibits, train rides and picture opportunities. Admission is $5 for adults, $3 for children between 3 and 12 and free for children under 2. Open from 11 a.m.- 7 p.m. Tam-O-Shanter is at 7060 Sylvania Ave., Sylvania. For details, visit www.childrenswonderland.org.
The Hungry I Restaurant, at 6060 Renaissance Place in Sylvania Township, has "Dine & Dance," starting at 9 p.m. As a weekly occurrence, the event includes a variety of dance music, including oldies, Latin, ballroom, country, and more. There is no cover charge.
SATURDAY
Visit Sylvania's Tam-O-Shanter Sports Complex for open ice skating. Prices are $3 for adult residents or $4 for adult non-residents; children under 3 are free and seniors 60 and older are $1.
