December weather doesn't stop a dog play date

Dogs, and their owners, went for a walk and took part in a play date today during an event hosted by the Olander Park System.

Located at Fossil Park, 5675 Centennial Rd.,the event, which was co-sponsored by SylvaniaVet and the park system, included a dog-friendly treat from Barry Bagels and exploration of the Quarry Ridge Bike Trail.

Dr. Bob Esplin from SylvaniaVet took part in the event. He provided attendees with tips and tricks on maintaining a healthy pet. He has been a veterinarian in the Sylvania community since the 1970s and started the Sylvania Veterinary Hospital.
