Many family events are happening this weekend in Sylvania. From a craft bazaar to a new planetarium show, many of the events are also seasonal and holiday themed.
Here's what's going on this weekend:
Stranahan Elementary PTA will host the 28th annual Winter Craft Bazaar at the school, 3840 Holland-Sylvania Rd., from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Friday and from 9 a.m.-3 p.m. Saturday. Event features a bake sale, food items for purchase, a raffle, and the opportunity to purchase holiday gifts.
First Christian Church of Sylvania, 5271 W. Alexis Rd., will offer an all-you-can-eat community breakfast buffet, from 8:30 to 10 a.m. The cost is $7 for adults and $4 for children ages 10 and younger. For further details, call 419-882-3313.
Lourdes University's Appold Planetarium will offer its newest holiday show, The Mystery of the Christmas Star, from 7:30 p.m. to 10 p.m. The event showcases significant astronomical events surrounding possible dates for the birth of Christ. Sylvania's Tam-O-Shanter continues to host a community holiday tradition, Children's Wonderland. The event includes an interactive zone, coloring, letters to Santa, and more. Admission is $5 for adults and $3 for children ages 3-12. Children under 2 are free and seniors are $2. Children's Wonderland is located at 7060 Sylvania Ave. in Tam-O-Shanter and is open from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. daily.
