Children's Wonderland, which began as a community holiday tradition in 1963, opens Saturday for its 49th season at Sylvania Tam-O-Shanter and runs through Dec. 28.
This year’s Children’s Wonderland will feature an enhanced Interactive Zone, coloring, letters to Santa, The Anderson’s General Store, and The Learning Express Toy Store, as well as holiday-themed exhibits and train rides.
Kids can also get their pictures taken with Santa, who will be on location to meet them.
Admission is $5 for adults, $3 for children 3-12, $2 for seniors and free for children under 2.
It is opened daily from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m., with the exception of Christmas Eve, when it is open 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Children's Wonderland is closed on Christmas Day.
Also new this year is a Santa’s Workshop & Continental Breakfast, which will be held from 8:30 to 10:30 a.m. Saturdays, Dec. 8 and Dec. 15. Cost is $8 a person and includes a continental breakfast, admission into Children’s Wonderland and games/coloring for kids.
