Show at Appold Planetarium explains Christmas star
The newest Appold Planetarium show will take viewers back 2,000 years ago to Bethlehem to discover a scientific explanation for the star the wise men followed to find the baby Jesus.
The show, the Mystery of the Christmas Star, investigates possible dates for the birth of Christ and looks at recorded sightings of significant astronomical events.
During the show, guests will see how signs in the sky could have been remarkable enough to cause the wise men to travel across the desert from Babylon to Bethlehem to see the newborn King.
The show, at 7:30 p.m. on three Saturdays (Dec. 1, Dec. 8, and Dec. 15), is for people of all ages.
Admission is $5 for adults and $4 for children under 12 and for Lourdes students
presenting their student ID. Shows at the planetarium are limited to 50.
