Lourdes University's Appold Planetarium has a Mars program at 7:30 p.m. Helped by NASA's Curiosity rover now on the planet, this program is narrated by award-winning actress Miriam Margoyles. In it, Mars takes viewers on an exciting trip to the red planet — deep into canyons where water once flowed, high above volcanoes, and turning around polar ice caps. It will review the latest discoveries on Mars and examine the science (and science fiction) surrounding Mars and the quest to find water, and perhaps even life. Admission is $5 for adults and $4 for children under 12 and for Lourdes students presenting their student ID. Shows at the Appold Planetarium are limited to 50 and often sell out. For information, contact Dr. Laura Megeath, Appold Planetarium coordinator, email planetarium@lourdes.edu or call at 419-517-8897.
