The Jamie Farr Toledo Classic presented by Kroger, Owens Corning, and O-I provided another great year of golf and fun.

But there is more to the tournament than the golf. Behind the scenes were 1,200 volunteers, all fans of Mr. Farr and the tournament. Stories were shared during the Volunteers Party on Aug. 16 at Premier Banquet Complex. One thing is apparent: lasting friendships have formed within this group, and they keep in touch and share their happy times and not-so-happy times.

Volunteers get to know the golfers and their families and some have hosted the athletes in their homes while they're here for the tournament. The hosts and golfers become second families, and many stay in touch from one year to the next.
