Postcard show, class reunions, craft beer festival mark Sylvania weekend activities
During this first weekend in August in Sylvania, a craft beer festival is on tap, there’s a postcard show, class reunions, and a variety of other activities.
Here’s what’s going on:
Friday
The first Craft at the Quarry brew festival will take place at Centennial Terrace, featuring local and national breweries and brewpubs. From 7 p.m.-midnight, enjoy well-known brewing company selections, live music, food. and other entertainment.

Saturday
Sylvania’s Burnham High School will host a reunion for all classes from 4-8 p.m. at the Joseph Diehn American Legion, located at 5580 Centennial Rd. in Sylvania Township. The cost is $18 per person for the meal. Those with questions can contact coordinator Katherine, by calling 419-344-9607.
Sylvania’s Southview High School classes of 1986, 1987, and 1988 will host a combined class reunion with Northview High School classes of 1987 and 1988. Hosted at the Olander Shelter House, 6930 Sylvania Ave., the event costs $35 per person. For tickets, visit www.eventbrite.com/event/3172463925. The reunion will begin at 3:30 p.m. and end around 10:30 p.m.
Sunday
Midwest Postcards, a show that aims to find homes for “wayward” postcards, will set up shop at Lourdes University’s Franciscan Center Gymnasium, 6832 Convent Blvd. The show is from 10 a.m.-4 p.m. and admission into the event is free. For further details, visit www.midwestpostcards.net.
