ProMedica Flower Hospital has been named a gold partner for organ, eye, and tissue donation advocacy by Donate Life Ohio, Ohio Hospital Association, and the Ohio Department of Health's Second Chance Trust Fund.

It stems from the hospital's efforts to register organ donors. Its award was in the community hospital category for 2013-2014. The Sylvania hospital was one of 46 recognized in the state last month.

The hospital on Harroun Road had a chair moved around the hospital promoting organ donations, and photos of staff were placed on Facebook with the chair. Also, several hospital departments decorated to raise awareness for the Donate Life campaign.
