Southview comes up short in shootout with Muskegon

Malcom Johnson had two electrifying kickoff returns of 90 and 88 yards for Southview but the Cougars came up short in an offensive display by both squads.

J.J. Pinckney took in a 50-yard scoring pass and Nate Hall a 30-yard TD pass from Austin Valedez for Southview (0-2). Chris Ellis had a 33-yard field goal, and Tino Vergiels recovered a fumble in the end zone for a TD.
John King, Marcus Smith, and Jaeonte Langston each scored twice for Muskegon.
