Sylvania school district to overhaul its Web site

The Sylvania School District Web site is getting an overhaul.

The school district has contracted with Madhouse, a Toledo-based graphic-design company, to design a new site and templates. The estimated design cost is $15,000 said Nancy Crandell, district spokesman.

To lower the project’s cost, the school will be performing back-end technical work, including transferring data from the current Web site, in-house. Officials expect the project to take three to six months to complete.

Some visitors with newer computer operating systems can’t view all information on the district’s existing site, developed about six years ago because of compatibility problems with newer software, Ms. Crandell said.
