Sylvania resident Sean Howe, who has been accepted into the bachelor of fine arts program for dance at the the prestigious Juilliard School, has been named a 2013 Presidential Scholar. Mr. Howe is one of four Ohio students among the 141 expected high school graduates from across the country including Puerto Rico, and from U.S. families living abroad, chosen for the 49th class of U.S. Presidential Scholars, which recognizes students for their accomplishments in academics and the arts.
Mr. Howe, a senior at the Toledo School for the Arts, will be recognized at the annual awards ceremony June 16 in Washington. Each honoree will receive a Presidential Scholar Medallion.
